the 2010 Christmas Idea House
|

Desert
Club is proud to present the 53rd annual Christmas Idea House this
year by showcasing a unique part of the East Valley... the award-winning
community of Las Sendas, located in Mesa's breathtaking "desert
uplands" area.
In
addition to the holiday home tour, visitors to the Christmas Idea
House will be treated to a stunning display of holiday and home decor,
unique gifts and gourmet goodies, all available for purchase, as well as
the opportunity to gather new "ideas" for holiday decorating
and entertaining. All of the proceeds from the Christmas Idea House are
given back to the community in the form of educational scholarships
and community grants. To date, Desert Club has raised more than $2.2
million to benefit those in need through the Christmas Idea House event.
Thousands of Valley residents make the Christmas Idea House part of their
annual holiday tradition.

Our theme for 2010 was inspired by our memories of Christmases
past. We hope your tour through this special home will get you in the
Holiday spirit and remember home, family and loved ones are the
true blessings of Christmas.
This beautiful 5800 square foot home is perched
high in the hills of Las Sendas in a gated community overlooking the
Valley. Our homeowners, Steve and Debbie Lenzmeier, are the
owners of Lenzmeier Construction, custom home builder. Their talent
and attention to detail is evident throughout their home. This home is
elegant with rustic touches, amazing ceilings, floors and venetian
plaster walls. The views are breathtaking from the outside living
spaces. The 1200 square foot RV garage/shop is a car enthusiast’s
dream

What is the Christmas Idea House?
|
|
Desert
Club is a non-profit, all-volunteer women's organization whose members
work throughout the year gathering and making fabulous items that are,
creatively displayed in a beautiful home setting. This private home,
which is different each year, is graciously "loaned" to
Desert Club by a family in our community. This home is then open for
tours and shopping over a three-day period of events, beginning on
Thursday, December 2. These events include the prestigious "Holiday
Soiree" cocktail party with dinner and silent auction on Thursday
evening, the "Christmas Continental Breakfast" brunch and
shopping event on Friday morning, and the general public tour hours from
on Friday from 4-9 p.m. and Saturday from 9-4 p.m. (For information

Holiday Soiree - Thursday, December 2, 2010
|

This
elegant affair features a home tour, silent auction, live music and of
course, first choice on our fabulous handmade Christmas items! We will be
serving delicious hors d' oeuvres, canapé’s, desserts and cocktails
continuously from 5:30 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. Drop in for an hour or spend
the entire evening! May we suggest business and holiday festive attire
for this event.

Christmas Continental Breakfast - Friday, December 3, 2010
|
|
Join us
for a Christmas Continental Breakfast on Friday December 3. This year we
will be serving at two seatings; 9:00 a.m. and 11:00 a.m. and the house
closes at 2:00 p.m. You can tour the house, shop and enjoy refreshments
on the spacious back terrace with your friends. Your ticket grants you
access to the home tour and breakfast at any time Friday morning; come
and go as you please!
